Mercedes Posey is a business woman, a communicator, and a patron of the arts. She uses her daily experiences as opportunities to leverage career growth and understanding of a changing world.

Mercedes has leveraged an ever-expanding portfolio of qualifications in field marketing management, event planning, merchandising, guerilla marketing, site logistics, brand promotions and consumer sampling programs. She has worked on more than 400 promotions for brands such as: Proctor & Gamble, Nintendo, Blackberry, Davidoff Tobacco, SC Johnson, RJ Reynolds, Vitamin Water, Microsoft, Pfizer, The Spanish Trade Commission, Moet Hennessy, Sony, Canon, Cadillac and many others.  No stranger to the lion’s den, Mercedes has participated in marketing initiatives for events such as Super Bowl, NBA All Star, and Miller’s National Distributors Conference.

Ms. Posey has visited numerous countries to broaden her perspective regarding global marketing, business practices and trends. These countries and cities include: Beijing, Shanghai, Xian; Trinidad & Tobago; Switzerland; Toronto, Canada; Mexico; Spain; Lisbon, Portugal; San Juan, Puerto Rico; Kyoto, Japan; Rome, Italy; Paris, France; and Amsterdam.

Mercedes’ still photography has appeared in publications and exhibitions. Her work was featured in the Black College Band Exhibit, “And the Band Played On,” at the Dallas African-American Museum; her writing was included in Kente Cloth, the first published anthology of Texas African-American writers and visual artists. Her work is also housed in a permanent gallery in Arlington, Texas. Her photography and lifestyle columns have appeared in Urban Sports News.

Mercedes currently serves as Board Member at large for Business & Economic Development for the Collegiate 100 Black Women. She works closely with the Women’s Resource Center of Texas Southern University as a Special Programs Coordinator. Miss Posey is an active volunteer for the American Marketing Association as well as a member of the Public Relations Society of America, and the National Association of Black Journalists.

Mercedes offers a fresh perspective and a lifetime of accomplishment-laden experiences in a diverse and ever-changing world.
